Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-22
This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game Sea of Fruits ("the Game", "we", "us") collects, why, and what choices you have. The Game is published by Sea of Fruits. If you have any questions, write to us at tomboffos@gmail.com.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
1. Information we collect
Game account and progress
- Device identifier. The Game uses an identifier of your device provided by the operating system (on iOS, the "identifier for vendor", which is unique to our apps on your device). It is used to recognise your game account, especially when you play without signing in.
- Game Center / Google Play Games. If you sign in, we receive your player ID and display name (alias) from Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, together with a signature that we check with Apple or Google to confirm it is really you. We do not receive your Apple ID, Google account email or password.
- Game data. Your captain name, appearance, progress, level, in-game currency and items, ships, islands, crew membership, in-game position and similar gameplay data, and your cloud save. This is needed to run the Game, save your progress and show you to other players in the online world.
- Session token. When you sign in, we create a random session token. Our server stores only a one-way hash of it, and it expires after 30 days.
Content you create and share
- Your captain name, island names, crew names and crew chat messages are visible to other players. Crew chat is shown only to members of your crew. Names and messages pass through an automatic filter for offensive words.
- If you report another player, we store the report (who reported whom, the reason, the reported name and the last few chat lines as context) so that we can review it. Players who receive several reports may be muted or renamed automatically.
- The block list you create is stored only on your device.
Analytics and crash reports
These are collected only if you allow data sharing. The Game asks you after the tutorial, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Data sharing.
- Gameplay analytics (GameAnalytics). Events such as session start and length, progress, use of game features, in-game currency spent and earned, purchases (product and price), performance (average FPS), and technical error messages. Each event carries a random install ID created by the Game (not your device identifier or advertising ID), your device model and manufacturer, operating system version and game version. GameAnalytics, like any internet service, also receives your IP address when the data is sent.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics, by Google). If the Game crashes, a report with technical information (device model, OS version, game version, graphics quality, the crash stack trace and recent game events) and a numeric code derived from your account is sent to Google Firebase.
Until you answer the question, gameplay analytics are kept on your device and are not sent. If you decline, they are deleted and no new analytics are collected.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, the Game schedules reminders on your device (for example, when your ship is repaired or your daily reward is ready). For notifications about events in the online world (for example, an attack on your island), we store your push token (from Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging), your platform and your game language, linked to your game account. You can turn notifications off in the Game's Settings or in your device settings.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your card number or billing details. We only learn which product was bought, so that we can deliver it to your account.
Network information
When you play online, our game server necessarily receives your IP address to communicate with your device. It may appear in our server's technical logs, which we use only to run and protect the service. We do not store IP addresses in our player database.
What we do not collect
The Game does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, does not use your advertising identifier (IDFA / Advertising ID), and does not contain advertising SDKs.
2. How we use information
- to run the Game, provide the online world, save and restore your progress across devices;
- to deliver purchases and restore them;
- to send notifications you allowed;
- to keep the community safe (name and chat filtering, reports, mutes and bans) and to prevent cheating;
- with your consent, to understand how the Game is played, balance it, and find and fix bugs and crashes.
Legal bases (for players in the EEA, UK and similar jurisdictions): performance of our contract with you (running the Game and your account), our legitimate interests (security, moderation, fixing problems), and your consent (analytics and crash reporting, notifications).
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Game, and only for that purpose:
- Apple — Game Center sign-in, push notifications, App Store purchases;
- Google — Google Play Games sign-in, Google Play purchases, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging;
- GameAnalytics — gameplay analytics (only with your consent);
- our server hosting provider, which stores game data on our behalf.
Other players see your public game profile (captain name, ship, islands, crew). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of players and of us.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
4. How long we keep information
- Account, progress and cloud save: while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it.
- Session tokens: up to 30 days.
- Push tokens: until they become invalid or you delete your account.
- Reports and moderation records: as long as needed to handle the report and keep the community safe.
- Server technical logs: for a short period for operation and security.
- Analytics and crash data: according to the retention settings of GameAnalytics and Firebase.
5. Your choices and rights
- Data sharing: turn analytics and crash reporting on or off in Settings → Data sharing.
- Notifications: turn them off in the Game's Settings or in your device settings.
- Delete your account: In the Game, open Settings → Delete account — your account, cloud save and online data are deleted from our server immediately. Or email tomboffos@gmail.com from the address you want us to reply to and include your captain name (and, if you sign in, that you use Game Center or Google Play Games). We will delete your account, cloud save and online data within 30 days. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the Game.
- Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact tomboffos@gmail.com.
6. Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as verifying sign-in with Apple and Google, storing only hashes of session tokens and limiting access to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we will let you know in the Game.
